Beneath the Thread: A Nine-Year Reflection of What Inspired Each Piece
From Jeff Scult, Founder, Designer & CEO of One Golden Thread

Dear Golden One,
As I prepare to turn 60 next week — aka, Sexty ;) — and with the Summer Solstice dawning, I’m pulled into a moment of deep reflection.
This time each year marks planetary equanimity — the longest day, the mirror to the shortest. Light and shadow in balance.
I’m often asked: What is the inspiration of The Collection?
Own fewer things we love more.
Timeless, not for seasons, for life.
Dress up dress down, threads for all your adventures and inventures.
Nature and us as One.
What brings me the greatest joy?
🟡 Witnessing humans step into their benevolent king and goddess energy when they don our threads for the first time.. That moment of recognition in the mirror when they see themselves, as themselves, as art, with the threads being the frame.
🟡 Hearing stories of strangers (no more) recognize each other through the golden thread. Instead of walking away, they walk toward resonance. And connect.
🟡 And the most miraculous truth: I’ve never met someone wearing One Golden Thread who wasn’t a spectacular human. We call it a “self-selecting no asshole policy.”
There’s something invisible at work — a subconscious mirroring — that reflects the regenerative spirit of us all.
And so, in that spirit, I offer this scroll.
Not as a catalogue. Not as commerce.
But as a tribute.
A reverent remembering.
Selections from One Golden Thread — from the very first OG pieces to the latest new drops — shared in the order they came to light (and life).
Each piece with a single micro-drop of gold, the why behind the creation.
✨ The magic. The intention. The heart within the art. ✨
From my heart to yours — let’s begin.
Perhaps with your favorite libation or tea in your hand, and the latest OGT playlist HERE, here we grow…
#1 — The 108 Talisman (2016)

Think of the 108 like a prequel. Before One Golden Thread was even set up for business, the sigil 108 was birthed as representation of my personal evolving philosophy of inner connection - a uniting of self (1), community (O), and planet (8).
After tying thousands of golden threads on people’s wrists who simply wanted to anchor into something real, I knew it was time to offer this elemental expression as part of One Golden Thread.
A wearable intention.
A sacred spinner.
Spin to win.
#2 — The Raw V-Neck Tee (2017)

I’d been on a lifelong quest for the perfect tee — and I couldn’t find it, so I dreamt to design it. With a golden thread woven through it, which prompted the design of our first Tree Tee.
The TreeSilk™ Origin — 2016–2017
But before a single stitch, I went on a mission. A material mission. Blessed with my mother’s intuitive touch, I sought to discover the world’s most benevolent fabrics and fibers — holding the highest frequencies for self and Earth.
The unimpeachable baseline was that it had to be Earth-ethical and biodegradable. And…
Somatically soft
Durable
Infinitely Stretchable
This journey led me to travel to Lenzing, Austria, where I wanted to see with my own eyes how regenerative beech trees are transformed into fiber using 85% renewable energy and full water sovereignty.

Then back to California, where we sourced the top 1% of ethical cotton grown on family-run farms.
We knit these together into what became:
TreeSilk™ — a proprietary blend that mimics nature, and most recently TreeSilk™ Linen, our take on up-leveling.
A somatic, synesthesia-surprise of reimagining sense. A biomimicry of touch.
The fabric that started it all.
The tee dream became real: Elongated to flatter the human form, raw edges like life itself, a wide neckline that’s not too deep — exposing the clavicle aka the caveman bone — with sleeves that gently hug the biceps like nature saying, “I got you, bro..”
What was unexpected was twofold: The extra length was expectedly beloved by men like me who stood tall, YET WAS REVERED by men who actually were tall. And that half of our purchasers were women who vibed with the off-the-shoulder silhouette. C’est la V(neck).
#3 — The Nature Wrap (2017)

Inspired by my seven-month journey through Southeast Asia in ‘97 when I lived in a sarong every day — I mused to create a “Saright”, for life.
Extra long. Extra wide. Pockets on both ends.
From travel wrap to scarf, from cuddle puddle blanket to elevated expression piece — it’s not an accessory, it’s a lifestyle layer.
#4 — The Love Wrap (2018)

This began as a collaboration with Ruben Rojas’ LOVE design and expanded into artist collabs with Katarina Benzova, and beyond.
A wearable canvas that wraps your values.
More than a scarf — it’s a statement of intention, warmth, and community.
#5 — The Kairos Duster (2019)

Kairos means confidently bending time to a now reality.
Duster was a part of my upbringing. Growing up in the Southwest, I always admired the Duster, what the old western horsemen would wear to protect themselves from the elements. I wanted to create something that would bring you closer to the elements.
Enter the Kairos Duster: Created as a threshold piece — never travel without it. Whether you’re lounging or stepping into your next becoming.
Designed reversible for temperature function: Flip it brushed side out to stay cool in warmer temps.
Elegant, powerful, gender‑fluid outerwear for crossing from here into what’s next.
#6 — The VersaWrap (2020)

Inspired as a creation to honor my mother’s passing — and the call to un-plasticize the plasticized planet during the pandemic.
This was our answer to the synthetic scarf: multi-style, grounding and lifting in one.
Forbes wrote about us. Thousands were donated to homeless shelters.. We fostered a pay-it-forward moment in a time of need and brought people together in spirit.
#7— The Tree Pant (2020)

I sought to design nature’s perfect pant, without ever looking like one.
Our original flowform bottom — grounded in comfort, elevated in silhouette.
Woven from TreeSilk™ for breathable stretch, structure, and softness in motion.
#8 — The Raw Crew Tree Shirt (2021)

I designed this one inspired by two certain Rock & Roll Icons rocking our threads - first names Steven & Mick ;)
Cut from the raw V silhouette with a crew neckline — not too tight, not too loose — for unleashed vibes around the throat and a rocker posture that stands tall.
Fitted, bicep-hugging sleeves, with expanding stitches to push up and stay up - and a length that elongates to flatter the human form.
Rock. Solid.
#9 — The Long Sleeve Raglan (2021)

Our second thermodynamic piece.
Reversible. Temperature-regulating. Built for everything.
Still one of our top sellers — a true workhorse in the wardrobe.
The Legend. If you know, you know. If you don’t, let’s go.
#10 — The Yogo Mid (2021)

From Yoga to epic style on the go. This 7-pocket functional fashion with feeling is still the coolest pant/short that wears as whatever you wish.
Wear with boots, and voila - it’s dressed up.
#11 — The Milanos Pant (2022)

Inspired as a tailored evolution of the Tree Pant — rooted in Italian motorcycle pant energy.
Zip ankles to wear under or over boots. Elevated for the streets, soft enough for the soul.
#12 – The Tree Tank (2022)

As somebody who never got down with tanks, too thin in the straps, not feeling masculine, too tight and feeling cheesy, I want to design for me a tank that would bring me back. Mission accomplished. I love it and love seeing men who also don't like tanks love it, and those that do love tanks go bananas. Raw edges, just exposing the caveman clavicle bone, a little signature V in the bottom of the neck, elongating for the human form. And for women, it’s long enough to wear as a tank dress.
#12 — The Sweater Tree Tee (2022)

What a delicious reversible workhorse. It’s been told it’s the only short-sleeved shirt you can wear in Aspen in the winter, and its thermodynamic reversible temperature regulation is amazing to flip the script on a beach walk from afternoon to evening. Not to mention it’s sharp as hell.
#13 — The Tree Coat (2022)

If you think of the Duster as all flow, the Tree Coat is soft structure. This capsule collection sold out, and I'd love to know if you desire to have it back. Double-lined lapel down to the bottom and a golden thread cascading over the hood, there are three buttons to choose your adventure on either side so you can button it left or right.
#14 — The Plush Ribbed Henley (2022)

Time to crisp it up. I love the look of a classic Henley with Raglan-style sleeves, and I designed this piece to be a go-to staple in the OGT rotation.
#15 — The Zip Tree Hoodie (2023)

You've graduated, so why wouldn't your hoodie? I wanted a hoodie that didn’t make me feel like I was headed back to high school, so I designed one.
Vertical entry pockets so you don't lose your shit.
Elevated fit. Clean lines. Crisp collar.
This is the first piece in the collection with a sunglass loop feature, and many people, after cruising in this hoodie for so long, still miss the secret stash pocket on the back right shoulder intended to insert your phone in for a hands-free call. This is your go-to grown-up Hoodie for the win.
#16 — Slim Tree Pant / Dance Pant (2023)

For those who wanted a Tree Pant that felt more like a skinny jean and Mother Nature had a spirit baby.
Same regenerative comfort. Streamlined fit. Tapered at the ankle for flow with shape.
#18 — Reversible Little Black Dress (LBD) (2023)

Inspired by the queen of scene, Victory Jones, who loved our Raglan so much yet asked, “What if this were a dress?”
Thermodynamic, versatile, and fierce — sheer arms, one side vented with a sheen, one side matte.
Layer it over leggings or dress it up with boots. Her choice. Her rules.
#19 — The Waffle Raglan (2023)

Our first-ever textured piece — and we literally couldn’t keep it in stock.
The community went wild for the vibe — cozy, rugged, with just enough lumberjack energy to keep it rawthentic.
A fan favorite from the moment it dropped. It will come back.
#20 — The Short Sleeve Henley (2024)

Based on the success of the long-sleeved version,, we brought this one back with elevated features, including rib sleeves for added texture and even more increased movement while still including the sunglasses loop. The ideal flow piece for tennis players, golfers, and style hounds.
#21 — The Pullover Plush Hoodie (2024)

Because everyone wants a pullover plush. We upgraded the inside of the hoodie, so it is a somatic delicious hug for your head and kangaroo pockets to bring your hands together with pockets-inside-pockets to secure your belongings.
This one delivers a cocoon of comfort that doesn’t compromise on structure or softness.

#22 — The Unders (2024)

Truth be told: I stopped wearing boxer briefs back in 2020 when the Tree Pant came out—because, I mused, why get between yourself and a cozy time?Fast-forward to 2024, and I gave myself a design challenge: If I were going to wear underwear again, it had to be so deliciously cozy, breathable, naturally stretchable, somatically huggable, and stylish enough that you might actually want to wear them out. That was the bar—and the only way I’d want to wear boxer briefs again. A.k.a. underwear that’s actually fun to wear. Mission accomplished.
Don’t miss the side holster—it holds whatever you want. I’ve found it’s perfect for travel (yes, it protects your passport), and around the house, I slip my phone in and flow.
And tucked inside the pocket? A poem to boldly speak to your inner gold.
I also wanted them to look like short compression shorts—something you could wear to hot yoga, or, just like they do in Europe, for a poolside swim.
The added surprise and delight? Women are loving wearing the Unders, too.
P.S. You can just call them Funderwear.
#23 — The Jogga (2024)

Japanese‑inspired jogger with TreeSilk air design — a pant that dresses up or down depending on your moment.
Sleek, soulful, and as versatile as your life.
And if you have the Jogga, and haven't already, flip the script. It's a vibe to wear the brushed side out.
#24 — The Ultimate Tee (2024)

We listened, we lifted. Shorter sleeves, raglan-style shoulder. Reversible with stitches — classic or rock. You choose. This is the ultimate tee.
#25 — The Plush Zip & Roll Pullover (2024)

One of my favorite nuanced creations in the collection — we definitely get to bring this one back into rotation.
Designed with seven different ways to style the collar, but the favorite surprise & delight is to zip it fully, roll it once, then unzip an inch — suddenly it transforms into a dress shirt you can wear under a blazer.
Versatility, elevated.

#26 — The Infinite (2025)

My ode to the Divine Feminine.
Fierce. Flowing. Confident. Infinitely sexy.
One piece, infinite ways to wear it — because that’s what the feminine is: infinite expression. I love witnessing women show us how they transform it!
#27 — The High Neck Crop (2025)

This Ribbed TreeSilk™ piece is designed as functional fashion for the ladies - two pieces in one. Wear the golden thread in the front for a crescent moon, sexy vibe, or the golden thread in the back where the front becomes slightly straighter. I am honored to see women love it.
#28 — The Elemental Tee (2025)

Our crispest tee to date — Italian tailoring meets Saint-Tropez ease.
Timeless design with a timeless name.
#29 — The Rib Tree Tank (2025)

Our ribbed take on an omni-classic for life-lovers who live lightly but fully. The “wife beater” is cancelled. Welcome to the “Life Treater”.
#30 — The Shacket (2025)

A new chapter, a new fabric, a new form.
The Shacket is our first shirt-meets-jacket — reversible, breathable, refined — and marks a departure into a world of elevated, structured layering.
With this piece, we began to lean further into tailored versatility and sensory innovation… and there’s so much more to come.
IN ASCENSION — Full Circle, Golden Thread

If you’ve made it this far, I thank you with all my heart.
What you’ve just witnessed isn’t a clothing line. It’s a lifeline.
A scroll of soul — each piece a breadcrumb on the trail.
This isn’t fashion. It’s a feeling. And we get to find each other in the Field.
It’s texture with intention. Comfort as a conduit for connection.
A mirror for your inner gold, stitched into something you can live in — and live through.
To reflect back on this no-plan plan that began nine years ago — sparked by a golden thread, a dream, and a fabric that felt like home — and to see how it’s magnetized such a conscious, beautiful global family… it humbles me.
Every piece in this scroll began as a whisper in the heart.
And you — this community — turned those whispers into a movement.
We’re not just wearing clothes.
We’re wearing who we are becoming.
Together.
Here’s to the next thread, the next becoming, the infinite ahead —
With love, see you on the other side of Sexty,
Jeff
