January 8, 2026
Today, One Golden Thread turns 10.
And within this letter is a big announcement — an invitation that turns it “up to an 11”— for those already smiling.
And to set the course for the announcement that catapults us into tomorrow, it feels apropos to flashback to highlight the “follow the thread” journey that got us here (together), today.

Ten Years Woven
What began on January 8, 2016 wasn’t a business plan.
It was a feeling. A question. A quiet experiment.
I was invited into communities — beginning in Berlin — to share a spoken-word Humanifesto. Not to instruct, but to invite. To listen. To witness. As a simple act of remembrance, I tied golden threads on wrists of strangers-no-more, offering no explanation beyond a single question:
What does it mean to you to live life Golden?

The most remarkable thing has continued to this day: no two answers have ever been the same. In that realization, something awakened in me—the knowing that each of us carries a unique golden imprint in our own expression… including myself, unexpressed for nearly half a century.
Then something unexpected happened.
People wearing the thread on their wrist began finding each other in the world.
Eye contact. A nod. A smile.
Strangers no more. A Knowing Connection.
That magic sparked a dream: for the world to be wrapped with a Golden Thread through sacred-made clothing.
What if clothing—each piece woven with that thread—could carry the reminder itself?
So, in early 2017, I sought to create our own fabric with benevolence, with materials that felt right on the body. Fabrics that both calmed and invigorated the nervous system. I realized I had inherited my mother’s gift: the ability, through touch, to feel things with integrity.
I found two fibers that changed everything: regenerative beech tree fiber from Austria and Supima cotton from California family-owned farms. They needed each other. We knit them together and named it TreeSilk™—a golden threaded fabric born for somatics.
At 51, a first-time clothing designer, I obliterated fear by designing for myself first. Pure joy. With the help of those who felt called to our mission, I created for me my perfect tee: a precise U-V neck, longer sleeves that hug the bicep, an elongated fit both grounded and free. I shared it with friends. It became their favorite tee. They shared it with friends. The thread traveled.
Then came March 2020.
Our tiny company, with a mighty spirit, was quite literally hanging by a thread. Two days before the world shut down, my beautiful mother peacefully completed her seven-year Alzheimer’s journey. I was blessed to be at her side, holding her hand as she took her final breath.
There was little money in the bank. A great deal of uncertainty. And yet—our TreeSilk fabric existed. And I knew I wanted to do something in her honor.
That knowing became the VersaWrap—born from grief into gratitude and love. My mother was playful, poetic, and deeply generous. In her name, we chose a different path: for every item sold, one donated to a homeless soul, and a tree planted.
Forbes wrote about it—but more importantly, people felt held, especially when touch was scarce.
It turns out the world wanted the comfort of home.
The somatic relief of being touched by nature.
And for the first time, the business began to support itself.
In 2021, people wanted that comfort wherever they roamed.
So we expanded the collection.
In 2023, Forbes featured our story. Esquire named our Hoodie the world’s most stylish. A leading travel publication called us the greatest travel clothes in the world.
We opened a retail home on Abbot Kinney.
Our community grew to 40,000+ global Badassadors—
all wearing the threads,
all carrying the reminder.
And all of it leads to today.

1st Access: New Mulberry Wood Bolt

Once again, you hear it first: in honor of 108 Day and our 10th anniversary, we’ve released 108 pieces in a new Mulberry Wood Bolt hue. Get ‘em while they’re “Mulberry hot.”
For those new here: 108 is a sacred number symbolizing wholeness—self, community, planet. When something is made in 108, it is an offering, not a commodity.
When they’re gone, they’re gone.

Impact, Together

Because of you, we are well on our way to a quarter of a million trees planted around the world. As of today, nearly 200,000 trees are already rooted—planetary dignity extended far beyond the mirror.
Our 2025 Impact Report is live.

Begin the Year Hugged

I don’t measure years by numbers anymore.
I measure them by how they feel—in the body, in the breath, and in our actions.
This year, choose what grounds you.
If there is a new piece in our collection that either calms or invigorates your nervous system, go hug yourself :)

NEW YEAR, NEW VIBE 🎶
Ten years in, I’m more certain than ever:
We didn’t create a community.
The community created itself.
And I am honored to be a weaver of it.
As we step into the next chapter, the dial doesn’t just reset.
It opens to a new octave—one we’ll turn together.
