When I was a child, my father would take us into nature as a family, and my mother and I would go on our little nature walks.
She was an artist — the kind who could see harmony in everything.
I remember watching her kneel by a river,
pick up a smooth slate stone, then a green leaf, a red one, a small branch —
and with a smile, she’d say,
“See, Jeffrey — the colors of nature always, and all ways, go together.”
That was my first lesson in color design,
before I ever knew I would one day create a brand around that truth.
Nature doesn’t match — She harmonizes.
Every hue belongs. Every tone flows.
Years later, just before birthing One Golden Thread, standing on a Vermont hillside ablaze with fall,
I saw her wisdom alive again.
A sea of reds, golds, mosses, charcoals —
a cacophony of color that somehow felt perfectly at peace.
It reminded me that the intelligence of nature is coherence.
Everything goes together. Everything belongs.
That became the soul of One Golden Thread —
colors not invented, but remembered.
Inspired by nature’s effortless regeneration,
designed for human harmony and timeless wear,
all pairing together, addressing without thought before dressing.
THE TRINITY OF ORIGIN
Black Onyx. Pure White. Shroom.
The first three hues — the yin, the yang, and the fertile middle.
The simple seed tones of the brand and the embodiment of balance.
What inspired them:
Black Onyx, the grounding void — strength and stillness.
Pure White, the breath of light — clarity and renewal.
Shroom, the bridge of earth — connection and belonging.

I felt they expressed our living mantra: Structure grounds. Flow frees. Regeneration lives between.

And with practicality: Every hue pairs effortlessly — nothing fights, everything flows. This trinity became our foundation for timeless, seasonless harmony.
