Soil is Soul - Trees of life

Posted by Jeff Scult on

Reforestation is universally acknowledged as the most important thing humanity can do to address the climate crisis. Benefits for both ecology and community are significant:

* Carbon Capture and Storage by forest and soil

* Biodiversity increase and conservation

* Improved soil quality, as soil is the soul of the planet

* Nutrient Recycling And  Erosion control

* Forest fire prevention

* Human and Economic benefits: Ecotourism attraction, employment, income, area beautification

One Golden Thread works with the powerful 501(c)(3) NGO partner, One Tree Planted, who plants in four continents. We choose donation projects that touch our hearts. In the past we have planted in Northern California, and we are proud to be part of the Amazon reforestation projects just getting underway.

Some planting projects focus on a select few tree species, while others plant a complex collection of indigenous trees  to rebalance biodiversity.

Regarding the latter, buckle up for the list below. This is the Amazon reforestation campaign in Brazil where one golden thread is proudly playing a small part of the 250,000 trees to be planted between November 2021 and March 2022, donating the planting of 5,800  trees.
